IMTA returns to New York for this year’s convention, featuring a priceless schedule of lessons for aspiring talent

We’re going to the I-M-T-A, we’re going to the I-M-T-A, where you can chase your dreams, and you can bask in peers creams. Oh yeah. We’re going to the I- M-T-A.” While not quite a hit song from the 1970s, the IMTA convention, held every summer in the heart of the blinding lights of Broadway, is a major gold standard hit unto itself.

Traveling to New York City—the city that never sleeps—the International Modeling and Talent Association convention is an annual trip to mecca that draws hundreds of aspiring actors, dancers, singers and models that believe they have what it takes to be the next surprise discovery to be found at the IMTA experience and shoot to stardom.

It’s a whirlwind of motion, both on and off the stages and runways. It’s a cacophony of sound with the ballrooms coming alive with the ever present techno beats of the runway competition, the lilting sounds of the vocal performance, and the varied musical styles of the talent showcase. So you can sing, dance and strut down the runway. If you feel you have that certain star quality but aren’t
