Even when you’re thousands of miles away from home, On the Go
you can still use your hotel
room for a basic workout.

In today’s busy world many people do not have the luxury of visiting a gym three to five times a week for their fitness training needs. I often receive questions from ladies who ask:

 

“MY JOB REQUIRES ME TO TRAVEL OUT OF TOWN DURING THE WEEK AND THE ONLY TIME I HAVE TO GO TO MY GYM IS ON THE WEEKENDS. HOW CAN I GET IN SHAPE ONLY GOING TO THE GYM ON WEEKENDS?”

Actually, getting in shape with this type of schedule is not as complicated as it may seem. Most of the nicer hotels will have some type of fitness center with a treadmill and a stationary bike.

If you do not feel comfortable using the hotel fitness center there are also plenty of exercises that can be performed in your own hotel room. So, let’s start from the beginning and outline your travel training routine.

When packing for travel always include a 3-lb. set of dumbbells along with an exercise outfit and gym shoes. Place one dumbbell in each suit case to lighten your load. I also suggest a pair of exercise gloves for your weight lifting exercises to keep your hands from building up calluses. You will also need a portable heart monitor to insure you are keeping your heart rate in the best fat burning range during your cardio training.
