SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA

How About a Third Season?

Former Pageantry cover model—and featured interview in the Summer 2008 edition—Amanda Kimmel finished in second place on Survivor: Micronesia, losing the final vote 5 -3 to fellow “favorite” and Survivor: Cook Island alum Parvati Shallow.

Amanda outwitted, outplayed and outlasted 10 fans, competing for the first time on Survivor, and eight other favorites, who returned for their second seasons of the show.

In Amanda’s first stint on the wildly popu- lar CBS reality show, during the Survivor: China season, the 2005 Miss Montana USA finished third after she admittedly ran out of gas. However, she impressed the show’s fans and producers enough to earn the invite back for the 16th season. With her strong finish in both appearances, Amanda set the show’s record for most days on the show at 78, she is the first player to ever make a final tribal council twice and she is the only player to appear twice and never have a valid vote cast against her.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT

Stephanie Schlund, Come On Down!

An America’s Mart model since her early teens, Stephanie Schlund has joined the legendary cast of models on The Price Is Right. She has previously worked as a showroom model and sales representative for Diane Freis, as well as appeared in ads for Party Time and Prima Donna. Stephanie and four other girls were selected from a group of 450 modeling hopefuls to be a part of “Carey’s Cuties”—an homage to the show’s new host Drew Carey. The models had previously been famously known as “Barker’s Beauties” be- fore legendary host Bob Barker retired and stepped aside for the former star of The Drew Carey Show.

The Price Is Right gig is just another step forward in Stephanie’s young career, as the 22-year old has also had roles in various films, including We Are Marshall, and the TV show October Road.
